Join authors Steve Rasnic Tem, Warren Hammond, Edward Bryant, Jeanne C. Stein, Joshua Viola and Dean Wyant signing of the horror anthology, NIGHTMARES UNHINGED, published by Hex Publishers.
Nightmares come in many forms. Some rend the veil of sleep with heart-stopping madness. Others defy sanity to leave a helpless corner of your mind twitching for release. Sometimes, hours after waking, a nightmare drifts across your memory, tainting your day with wisps of discomfort. Nightmares Unhinged reveals horror in all its mutable forms -- abject to absurd -- through twenty tales of terror.
Contributors, including Nebula, Hugo, International Horror Guild and Bram Stoker Award-winning authors, will read from, discuss and sign the new horror anthology "Nightmares Unhinged: Twenty Tales of Terror" ($12.99 Hex Publishers). New York Times bestselling author, Steve Alten (MEG), penned the foreword. Each terrifying story in this collection includes artwork by award-winning artist, Aaron Lovett Art. The book has been dedicated to Bram Stoker Award winner Melanie Tem, who had originally planned to contribute, but lost her battle to cancer earlier this year. Hex Publishers will donate a portion of the proceeds from sales to Rocky Mountain Cancer Assistance in her honor.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful, or, at the very least, unsettled. But the books inside are delightful. We have lots of lovely books suitable for gift-giving. It’s nice to hold a book in your hands, and an e-reader certainly can’t simulate that feel, or the beauty of the cover and interior illustrations. We also have dozens and dozens of autographed modern first printings (most not expensive).
Gift certificates are available in any denomination of your choice. They are attractive and come in matching envelopes for gift giving.

DASFA (Denver Area Science Fiction Ass'n) monthly meeting.
The Denver Book Mall closed August 31, 2009, but Ron and Nina were thrilled to be able to open a new book store, Broadway Book Mall, 200 S. Broadway, Denver, CO, southeast corner of Broadway and Cedar, just 3-1/2 blocks south of the Denver Book Mall location. We brought with us 9 of the booksellers from the old store, though we have now lost JoAnn due to health problems. Great books, great people, great service and great parking. REAL books for REAL people.
We've been open since August 4, 2009 and are thriving in our new location. Please help us spread the word by linking to our web site and by telling absolutely everyone you know!
